The Capital Area Chapter of the Master Naturalist
.... is pleased to announce that Roger Myers has been selected by the Keep Austin Beautiful organization to receive their award for 2007 for Individual Achievement. Roger completed his training in 2003 and since that time has been our Curriculum Chairperson for 2 sessions, is involved in amphibian monitoring for TPWD, at the Austin Nature Center and Hornsby Bend, he leads walks to teach about geology at Wild Basin Preserve,, and recently took on the position of Board President of Friends of McKinney Falls State Park. He has contributed over 800 hours of volunteer time to the community since completing his training and has been an inspiration to new trainees, leading by example.
